Well, they may be expensive but if you can afford it and think it MAY be possible that you will use it, then I would get a service for sure. I can tell you that my family has used them on many occasions.
I remember a time that we were traveling to Idaho, and Montana to get our Log Home Plans designed. On the way home we came across an older gentleman who had slid off of the road and barely and I mean barley hanging on and not sliding off into the river. The roads were very slick, full of snow and dangerous. Fortunately we were able to help this gentleman by using our Globalstar Satellite phone.
